Brief What better way to brighten up the end of winter and celebrate Read Across America Day than with a visit from Sam I Am, Gerald McBoing Boing and the Sneetches?

The Rowan-Salisbury Association of Educators presents "The Stories of Dr. Seuss" Monday, March 3, performed by Sarah Drinkard's Theatre II and Honors Theatre classes at South Rowan High School.

What better way to brighten up the end of winter and celebrate Read Across America Day than with a visit from Sam I Am, Gerald McBoing Boing and the Sneetches?

The Rowan-Salisbury Association of Educators presents "The Stories of Dr. Seuss" Monday, March 3, performed by Sarah Drinkard's Theatre II and Honors Theatre classes at South Rowan High School.

The performance will be at 4:15 p.m. at the J.F. Hurley Family YMCA in Salisbury. Monday is Read Across America Day.

There will also be a performance at 3:30 p.m. for the YMCA's after school programs.

Actors from South Rowan High include Daniel Hubbard, Stephen Carroll, Samantha Sain, Heather Furr, Heaven Bare, Tess Shoe, Laiani Benjamen, Hillari Atkinson, Josh Goodnight and Yesica Herrera. They are joined by Christian Dionne and Hannah Roseman of Carson High School.

"Green Eggs and Ham" was adapted and is directed by Samantha Sain. "Gerald McBoing Boing" was adapted by Stephen Carroll and is directed by Yesica Herrera. Daniel Hubbard adapted and directs "The Sneetches."
