Brief Thieves steal from classroom

Thieves steal from classroom

Several small toys were stolen from a Rowan-Salisbury Schools' classroom, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Kenny Isenhour, principal of Millbridge Elementary School, 155 Ed Deal Road, Mooresville, reported the theft occurred at the school the night of May 8.

In other Sheriff's Office reports:

* Brandy Nicole Bangert, 27, 360 Falcon Lane, Faith, was charged May 10 with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and driving while license revoked. She was held under $750 secured bond pending a June 27 trial date.

* Dwight Sherman Browns reported May 10 that someone had cut alarm wires to a room at Benge Cottage at Nazareth Children's Home, 855 Crescent Road, Rockwell.

* Terrace Cornelius Grayson, 25, 1590 Keystone Drive, was charged May 11 with attempting to obtain property by false pretense. He was held under $300 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.

* Jeffrey Kiker of P & amp;G Security reported May 6 that he suspected an employee of turning in fraudulent time sheets/logs.

* Carl Gilmer Moore, 1380 Parks Road, Woodleaf, reported a burglar stole items valued at $1,155 from his storage building May 10.

* Ashley Nicole Gilbert of Salisbury reported May 10 that someone had used her personal information to obtain a college loan on April 20.

* Marsha Jeanne Roig, 180 Hard Rock Drive, Rockwell, reported the theft of $100 in cash that she had stored in the freezer in her home during a break-in at her home the night of May 10. Damage to a door totaled $200.

* Thomas Woodrow Steelman, 22, 1206 Gaddy Mobile Home Park, was charged May 12 with larceny of a motor vehicle. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a July 9 trial date.

* Bobby Fox, chief of Miller's Ferry Fire Department, 2650 Long Ferry Road, reported a burglar broke into the department the night of May 10 and stole keys to one of its units. Damage to three window frames totaled $1,500.

* Stephanie Blackwelder, 200 Todd Circle, reported May 11 that someone took mail from her mailbox in March.

* Carl Steve Broadway, 5420 Sam Broadway Loop, Enochville, reported the May 10 theft of six aluminum wheels and a roll of screen wire from his property. Total loss was $160.

* Ronald Howard Burridge, 50, 3655 Organ Church Road, Rockwell, was charged May 11 with simple assault and three counts of felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He was held under $20,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.

* Stacey L. Christy, 2402 Eagle St., reported 100 CDs valued at $1,300 were stolen from her home between May 9 and 11.

* Michael S. Futch, 164 Chelsea Lane, Rockwell, reported the theft of a toolbox, lawnmower and grass trimmer from his home the night of May 10. Total loss was $1,380.

* Jason Scott Daniels, 33, 595 Upright Ave., China Grove, was charged May 11 with breaking or entering and communicating threats based on a complaint by Amy Kirkman, 235 Upright Ave., China Grove. He was released on a written promise to appear in court June 7.

* Bill Earnhardt of Earnhardt Lumber Co., 13525 U.S. 52, Gold Hill, reported lumber valued at $3,100 was stolen from the business between May 8 and 11.

* Scott Andrew Hance, 1503 E. Fork Drive, reported $1,940 in cash was stolen from his home between May 3 and 11.

* Bruce Mitchell Berman, 101 Carousel Drive, Gold Hill, reported the theft of a $700 siding brake from his back yard between May 9 and 11.

* Chad Steven Brown, 3909 Old Concord Road, was charged May 11 with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance after a traffic stop on U.S. 29 and I-85 in China Grove.

* Dale McCoy Miller, 130 Page Drive, reported the May 9 theft of a $250 pistol from his home.

* Mitchel Douglas Snider, 280 Twin Lake Drive, reported a safe containing $8,000 was stolen from a closet in his home between May 9 and 11.

* Antwan Jamelle Ford, 21, 108 Harrell St., was charged May 11 with simple possession of marijuana and driving while license revoked following a traffic stop on East Innes Street at I-85. He was release on a written promise to appear in court June 29.

* Sheila Lynn May, 32, 146 Howell Road, Mocksville, was charged May 12 with violating a pretrial release, allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle and simple possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Woodleaf and Wetmore roads in Woodleaf. She was held under $10,500 secured bond pending a July 16 trial date.

* Adam John Herrin, 24, 1237 Circle Drive, China Grove, was charged May 12 with a domestic violence protective order violation based on a complaint by Cindi Adams. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is June 7.

* Allen Rivers Jr., 30, 208 W. Lafayette St., was charged May 12 with being a fugitive from justice. He was held under $10,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.

* Scott Reece Tetteron, 36, 525 Eastland Drive, Rockwell, was charged May 12 with simple assault and assault by pointing a gun based on a complaint by Justin Brawley, He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a June 7 trial date.

* Harold Christopher Etheridge, 340 Gheen Road, reported items valued at $1,490 stolen from his unlocked garage between May 5 and 11.

* Charles Leroy Brown, 210 Edgewood Drive, China Grove, reported the May 12 theft of a $2,500 golf cart from his property.

* Stephen Douglas Overcash, 38, 1032 Tarheel Trail, Lot 2, was charged May 12 with resisting a public officer and speeding. He was held under $2,500 secured bond pending a June 15 trial date.

* Jason Lynn Irvin, 29, 352 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, was charged May 12 with felony manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault on a female based on a complaint by Amanda Irvin, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing.

* Dustin Joseph Miller of Troutman reported someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at 905 Webb Road May 12 and stole stereo equipment.

* Aaron Martin, 1155 Children's Circle, Rockwell, reported seven bicycles were stolen from his property the night of May 11. They were valued at $100 each.

* Brandy Lynn White reported a $450 go-cart was stolen from a locked building at 9230 Castor Road between April 2 and May 12.

* Junior Lee Eagle, 1760 Cannon St., Rockwell, reported a $17,000 Suzuki motorcycle stolen from his property the night of May 11.

* Romus Demond Ellis, 27, 1319 W. Bank St., was charged May 12 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer and possession of an open container on Ridenhour Road at Seventh Street. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a July 16 trial date.

* William Marshall Oxendine Jr., 42, 415 Troutman Road, Rockwell, was charged May 13 with resisting a public officer and failing to appear in court. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a June 26 trial date.

* Robert A. Hornsby, 1147 Kensington Lane, reported $100 damage to his mailbox the night of May 12.

* Dommick A. Pedula II of Pedula Excavating-Paving Inc., 1275 Shinn Farm Road, Mooresville, reported $730 damage to shrubs at his business after someone drove over them the night of May 12.

* Christine Jaclyn Sells, 510 Charolais Drive, reported someone broke into her home between May 10 and 13, but nothing was missing. Damage totaled $30.

* Robin Davis Burdette of Salisbury reported a burglar broke into 7195 Stokes Ferry Road May 12 or 13 and stole a washing machine and dryer. Total loss was $450.

* A counterfeit $20 bill was passed May 13 at Jordan's Hot Spot, 5710 S. Main St.

* Wayne Anderson, 68, 108 East Ave., was charged May 13 with communicating threats based on a complaint by Rodric Quinn Lamer, 106 East Ave. He was released on a written promise to appear in court May 24.

Outbuilding items stolen in Spencer

James Smith reported May 8 that items had been taken from an outbuilding at 1840 N. U.S. 29, Spencer.

* Barbara Ann McCord, 240 Middlebrook Drive, Rockwell, reported vandals caused $150 damage to her truck while it was parked at her home the night of May 7.

* Robert Jay Wilson, 206 Cindy Road, reported $100 damage to his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of May 7.

* James Edward Smith, owner of Rendezvous, 1840 N. U.S. 29, reported a burglar broke into the business the night of May 7 and stole an air conditioning unit, metal cooler, bags of aluminum cans and copper tubing. Total loss was $950.

* Barry Mose Collins, 17, 3780 Cauble Road, was charged May 8 with second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by Laquita Renwrick, 3740 Cauble Road. Trial date is July 19.

* Roger Dale Lowman, 36, 5511B Agner Drive, was charged May 8 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Rhonda Lowman, 115 Riting Road. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is June 28.

* Billy Ray Canup, 340 Gaither Drive, reported money was stolen from his home May 8.

* Michelle Jacqueline O'Flahrity, 211 Kidd St., Kannapolis, reported her debit card was stolen from her purse at her home sometime before May 7.

* Elaine Patricia Wheeler, 317 Cedar Valley Drive, reported prescription medicine stolen from her home May 8.

* Derek Brown, 43, 524 Park Ave., was charged May 9 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Charlotte Faye Sharpe. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is June 28.

* Thomas Jack Truett III, 3964 Mount Hope Church Road, was charged May 9 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Susan Truett, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing.

* Stacy Ray Lane, 160 Maria Lane, Woodleaf, reported May 9 that someone entered his outbuilding over the weekend and took two grass trimmers.

* Paris Leslie Martin, 525 Skyview Circle, reported May 9 that someone took four fishing rods and reels off a front deck of his house.

* Patricia L. Price, 6690 Goldfish Road, Kannapolis, reported May 9 that she saw a man and a woman inside of her neighbor's home at 6733 Goldfish Road, Kannapolis. The neighbors, Paul Dean and Tiffany Ann Sizemore were not at home at the time.

* Susan Smith reported May 9 that someone had forced open the front door to her home, but nothing seemed to be missing.

* Stacey Deal, 215 Deal Road, Mooresville, reported May 9 that vandals caused $200 damage to her well pump.
