By Katie Scarvey Salisbury Post The South Rowan High School Young Order of Dramatic Actors will perform the comedy "Was He Anyone?" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church. The play is directed by Sarah Drinkard. Written by N.F. Simpson, the play is a social satire about what happens to Albert Whitbrace, who has fallen into the ocean and is in need of rescuing. His wife begins the process of trying to get him rescued, working with various government agencies. There are questions to be answered, forms to be filled out, bureaucracies to be fed. It's "World National Help-You-Out Year Week" and the "help" Albert gets from various organizations is interesting indeed -- including being sent a piano instead of a life preserver. He also gets sympathy from professional sympathizers -- but remains stranded in the ocean. The play, which was selected by students, is about how we get caught up in everyone's different agendas and forget what's important, Drinkard says. Appearing in the play are Abby Bullard, Julie Lovejoy, Haley Haithcock, Stephanie Hill, Jessica "Walter" Propst, Alisha Goodman, Maria Corriher, Alexx Zebrosky, MacKenzie Smith, Ethan Crater, Timothy Campbell, Jacob Morton and Greg Yanz. Alex Linn is stage manager. Kat Haugen and Destiny Linker are the props crew; sound board operator is Kat Haugen. Light board operator is Quinn Roth, and sound prep is Matthew Sperling. Admission is $5.
