A China Grove woman found chocolate syrup either sprayed or poured on her front door and porch, according to Rowan County Sheriff's Department reports.

Angie D. Davis, 102 Pine Court, China Grove, reported the Aug. 5 vandalism caused $15 damage.

In other Sheriff's Department reports:

* Brian Keith Fulcher, 220 Saw Road, China Grove, reported a charcoal grill and cover, cooler and 65 baseballs stolen from his home Aug. 3. Total loss was $315.

* Johnny Reid Glover, 1180 E. N.C. 152, China Grove, reported a chain saw and gas can stolen from his outbuilding the night of Aug. 4. Total loss was $260.

* Sharon E. Jackson, 630 Dunns Mountain Church Road, reported the Aug. 5 theft of a cellphone, game cube and games from her home. Total loss was $770.

* Retha Anne Campbell, 1180 Partee Drive, China Grove, reported $120 cash stolen from her pocketbook at her home Aug. 4 or 5.

* Ashley Rose Parham and Robert Allen Hobson, 375 Woodbury Lane, reported items valued at $765 stolen during an Aug. 5 burglary at their home.

* Anita Yvonne McDonald of Kannapolis reported the theft of a $700 generator from 1024 April Lane, China Grove, between July 29 and Aug. 5.

* Clay William Petrea, 1140 Wilkinson Road, Mooresville, reported the theft of his 2005 Vespa ET2 from his front yard the night of Aug. 4.

* Gay Stanley of Kannapolis reported Aug. 5 that vandals caused more than $2,500 damage to a trailer at 1470 Stevens Drive.

* Zachary Charles Bergman, 20, 390 Four Lakes Drive, Cleveland, was charged Aug. 5 with communicating threats and second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by Mary Chaffin, 1359 Gracebrook Drive. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Aug. 25.

* Emmanuel Tavira, 3990 Statesville Blvd., Lot 7, reported a CD player/radio and 30 CDs stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Aug. 4. Total loss was $700.

* John Fisher was charged Aug. 5 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Julia Kathleen Craig of Rockwell and with resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer.

* Sonya Graham of Salisbury reported the theft of a $1,500 crossbow from S & amp;S Graham Archery, 1700 N. Main St., China Grove, between July 22 and Aug. 4.

* Angela Gwynett Tidwell, 350 Mendenhall Drive, reported the theft of medication and cash from her home Aug. 5. Total loss was $95.

* Beaurita Ann Trent, 44, 110 Waccamaw Drive, was charged Aug. 5 with communicating threats based on a complaint by George Thomas Ellis, same address. She was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Aug. 24.

* Samantha Marie Heilig, 2180 Wilson Road, China Grove, reported the Aug. 5 theft of a $4,500 red truck from her home.

* Michelle Steed, 18, 295 Webbwood Lane, Gold Hill, was charged Aug. 6 with two counts of making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Timothy Huckabee, 130 Leisure Lane. Trial date was set for Aug. 11.

* Baron E. Turner of Knoxville, Tenn., reported his wallet, containing $325 in cash, was stolen Aug. 6 from his truck in the truck stop parking lot at 985 Peeler Road.

* Erraull Laron Ramsey, 21, 499 Welder St., East Spencer, was charged Aug. 6 with five counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, one count of felony uttering a forged instrument and failing to appear in court on larceny and resisting charges. He was held under $30,000 total secured bond pending the next term of Superior Court in Forsyth County.

* Joshua Lane Green, 21, 155 Flowering Tree Lane, was charged Aug. 6 with second-degree trespassing and simple assault based on a complaint by Jennifer Smith, 511 Carolina Ave., Rockwell. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Sept. 8.

* Robert Rex Davis, 180 Needmore Road, Woodleaf, reported the theft of a $500 generator from his carport the night of Aug. 5.

* Michael Lee Trexler, 125 Trex Road, Rockwell, reported a $900 generator stolen from his property between Aug. 4 and 6.

* Phillip Ramon Martinez, 24, 150 Stillwater Road, Richfield, was charged Aug. 6 with communicating threats and injury to real property based on a complaint by Emily Hodge, 504 E. Ryder Ave., Landis. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Sept. 22.

* Gary Wayne Kluttz, 8535 Fisher Road, Rockwell, reported a burglar broke into his home and vehicle between Aug. 4 and 6. Total loss was $780.

* Two people were charged Aug. 6 with assaulting each other following a domestic incident at their 210 Midway Drive home.

Luz Maria Ferguson, 27, was charged with simple assault. Michael Keith Ferguson, 30, was charged with assault on a female. Both were held pending bond hearings. Trial date is Sept. 26.

* Jason Matthew Pierce of Kannapolis reported someone tried to steal a $3,000 heat pump from Friendship Baptist Church, 100 Porter Road, Aug. 5 or 6.

* Ellen Ruth Martinez, 36, 331 Large Ave., Rockwell, was charged Aug. 6 with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Sept. 21 trial date.

* Timothy Scott Smith, 36, 6061 Faith Road, was charged Aug. 7 with obtaining property by false pretense and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies. He is accused of obtaining a $200 lawnmower by fraud from Thomas R. Catoe, 6105 Faith Road, on Aug. 5 and then selling it to Margret Ann Scercy, 1085 Farm Creek Road for $150 on Aug. 6.

He was held under total secured bond of $1,500 pending an Aug. 9 court appearance.

* James Richard Wilson, 21, 1129 Faith Road, was charged Aug. 6 with assault by strangulation based on a complaint by Carly Elizabeth Allen, 308 St. Johns Drive. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 10 court appearance.

* Jamin Michael Thorpe, 26, 1028 Lucas Lane, was charged Aug. 6 with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Annette Canterbury, 1420 E. Council St. Trial date is Sept. 8.

* Kevin Wood was charged Aug. 6 with resisting and obstructing a public officer at 220 Grand Oaks.

* Phyllis Harmon Peeler, 620 S. Vance St., reported vandals shot the back glass out of her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway Aug. 6. Damage totaled $550.

* Kevin Woods Wood, 33, 215 Grand Oaks Drive, Rockwell, was charged Aug. 6 with injury to real property, injury to personal property and making threatening phone calls based on a complaint by Michael Dale Ghent, 107 Whyatt Road. Wood was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Sept. 22 trial date.

* Crystal Dawn Lanning, 25, 2060 Harrison Road, was charged Aug. 7 with simple assault based on a complaint by Shae Snicker, 220 Redman Road, Cleveland. Lanning was released on a written promise to appear in court Sept. 22.

* Someone broke into the Blue Bay Seafood restaurant in Cleveland Aug. 7, but nothing was taken.

* Honey Annette Winecoff, 26, 545 Long Bow Road, was charged Aug. 7 with larceny by employee in Asheboro in Randolph County. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 17 appearance in Randolph District Court.

* Connie Caroline Goodnight, 47, 7900 Barncliff Court, Kannapolis, was charged Aug. 7 with second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by Debra Julian Benton, 3123 Barr Road, Concord. She was released on a written promise to appear in court Sept. 15.

* Julie Agner Steed, 46, 300 Sunfish Terrace, was charged Aug. 7 with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Crystal Ingold, 130 Leisure Lane. Trial date was set for Aug. 11.

* Vandals broke a window at West Corinth Baptist Church, 120 Corinth Church Road, between Aug. 5 and 7. Damage totaled $50.

* Robert Lee, 35, 355 School St., was charged Aug. 7 with simple assault based on a complaint by Larry Barber, 538 Lafayette St. Trial date is Sept. 1.

* William Pete Kennedy of Salisbury reported a burglar broke into his home at 3515 Dogwood Court between Aug. 4 and 7 and stole a $3,500 Lennox air conditioning unit. Damage totaled another $450.

* Billy David Misenheimer, 535 Barger Road, reported vandals put a bottle bomb in his mailbox the night of Aug. 6. Damage totaled $7.

* Kevin Wood was charged Aug. 7 with resisting and obstructing a public officer in the parking lot at 232 N. Main St.

* Eliza Lakara Cavoni, 3990 Statesville Blvd, Lot 14, reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at her home between Aug. 5 and 7. Total loss was $675.

* Two Hispanic male suspects are being sought following an armed robbery at El Indite, 3140 W. Innes St. The pair got away with $1,030 in cash, 15 phone cards valued at $75 and other items valued at $500.

* Sharon Rodden Hollifield, 44, 260 Rodden Road, Woodleaf, was charged Aug. 7 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle based on a complaint by Terry L. Grant, same address. She was released on a written promise to appear in court Sept. 8.

* Tony Franklin Barnhardt, 24, 4025 Cauble Road, Mount Pleasant, was charged Aug. 7 with misdemeanor larceny in Guilford County. He was held under $200 secured bond pending an Aug. 26 trial date in Guilford District Court.

* Nick Wolfe, 17, 152 Bluefield Drive, China Grove, was charged Aug. 8 with second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by Charles H. Moore, 271 Bluefield Drive, China Grove. Trial date is Sept. 15.

* Carlos Amador Lopez reported the Aug. 4 theft of a $340 cell phone from a friend's house at 709 Pearl Ave.

* Anthony Warren Burkett, 1026 Redhaven Drive, reported vandals shot windows out of his vehicle and trailer while they were parked at his home Aug. 5. Damage totaled $2,500.

* Jennifer Lorrain Thomas, 25, Foxy Lady, No. 1415, U.S. 29, was charged July 30 with possession of stolen property, no operator's license, operating a vehicle with no insurance and failure to register vehicle. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Sept. 2 trial date.

* Rodney Darnell Tillman, 32, 948 Cedar St., was charged July 30 with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Aug. 1.

* Crystal Dawn Leonard, 33, 504 Cruse Road, was charged July 30 with misdemeanor child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 24 trial date.

* John Richard Boutilier, 17, 155 Spring Oak Drive, was charged July 30 with breaking and/or entering and felony larceny based on a complaint by Barbara Gainey, 255 Spring Oak Drive. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 1 court appearance.

* Thomas Allen Vogt Jr., 18, 605 Yost Road, was was charged July 30 with two counts each of breaking and/or entering and felony larceny based on a complaint by Barbara Gainey, 255 Spring Oak Drive. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 2 court appearance.

* Angela Williams Benge, 31, 109 S. Main St., Faith, was charged July 31 with felony forgery of instrument. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 2 court appearance.

* Bobby Blue Goodman, 155 Bonanza Drive, reported the July 31 theft of his debit card from a table in his home.

* Ruddy Edwin Shipton of Lancaster, S.C., reported a shotgun and watch stolen from a mobile home at 110 Spring Lake Lane between July 29 and 31. Total loss was $450.

* Levi Tingler, 104 Wood Lake Drive, reported video games and equipment, clothing and cash stolen from his home during a July 30 or 31 burglary.

* Richard Abott Clontz, 46, 250 Susan Lane, was charged July 31 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Beverly Clontz, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Sept. 8.
