The funeral will be Saturday for A. Geraldine "Gee" Davis, 49, 815 W. Bank St., who died Monday (April 8, 2002) at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, after two weeks of serious illness.

The funeral will be Saturday for A. Geraldine "Gee" Davis, 49, 815 W. Bank St., who died Monday (April 8, 2002) at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, after two weeks of serious illness.

Born Jan. 28, 1953, in Rowan County, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of Harvey and Alberta Peaks Davis of Salisbury. She was a graduate of Boyden High School.

Employed at Hefner VAMedical Center, she was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.

A daughter, Dionne Gillespie, died Jan. 3, 1999.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include fiance Glenn Hines, Salisbury; daughter Teresa Gillespie, Salisbury; brothers Harold Davis, Spartanburg, S.C., and Gregory Davis, Newport News, Va.; sisters Juanda Scott, Upper Marlboro, Md., and Odessa and Zelma Davis, both of Salisbury; and three grandchildren.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. J.L. Stowe, pastor, and the Rev. Mitchell Sewell. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation: 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Zelma Davis, 309 S. Lee St.

Rowan Funeral Service is in charge.
