Salisbury Post

Shops on Jake, a Mooresville-based development company, has paid $675,000 for the outparcel on which a Five Guys restaurant will be built at Salisbury Village.

Partners in the Shops on Jake venture include Scott Copeland, John Morrow and Mike McGee. A Five Guys restaurant, specializing in burgers and fries, and up to three other tenants will be part of the proposed 10,500-square foot building on the site.

Lane Yates of Huntersville is the overall developer of Salisbury Village, a 26-acre tract that has frontage along both Jake Alexander Boulevard and Mooresville Highway.

The mixed-use Salisbury Village is being developed in three phases. The first phase includes Salisbury Village at Castlewood -- 192 apartments nearing completion toward the rear of the property.

The second phase aims at developing the outparcels along Jake Alexander Boulevard and Mooresville Highway. Bank of North Carolina at Jake Alexander Boulevard and Castlewood Drive and the Shops at Jake, which will be located near Foster's Prime Sirloin, represent the first two outparcels sold.

The third phase probably will include a mix of office and retail in the middle of the site.
